Flying W Garden staff
Flying W Gardens is situated on five beautiful acres just south of Itasca State Park. It was founded by Cheryle Wilke and her husband Craig in 1994 and provides Park Rapids and the surrounding areas with quality landscaping products and services.
Cheryle started the business with many years of experience in the nursery industry. She is accredited with being a Hubbard County Master Gardener for 25 years. Cheryle’s daughter Teresa and her husband Richard Ohm joined the company in 1999 when they decided to move to the beautiful Park Rapids area. Richard and Teresa became partners with Cheryle in 2005.
In 2018 Richard and Teresa took over as owners. Teresa previously worked for Hennepin Parks on park maintenance where she gained valuable experience. Both Cheryle and Teresa are Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) Certified Professionals. Teresa also gained a MN/DOT landscape specialist certificate in 2013.
Richard designs and installs landscapes. He is a certified pesticide applicator, irrigation designer, erosion control installer, and a Minnesota Power limited technician.
Flying W Gardens has successfully grown to provide customers with a full service garden center that offers a large selection of annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs. They offer residential and commercial landscape designs and installation, irrigation design installation and maintenance, low voltage lighting installation and tree and shrub maintenance. They carry all of the products necessary for you to get your landscape design complete from start to finish.
